E.E. Cummings: I carry your heart with me

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in
my heart) I am never without it (anywhere
I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
I fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet ) I want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)

Keep yourself Motivated!

Here are 14 quick strategies to get and keep yourself motivated:
1. Condition your mind. Train yourself to think positive thoughts while avoiding negative thoughts.
2. Condition your body. It takes physical energy to take action.  Get your food and exercise budget in place and follow it like a business plan.
3. Avoid negative people. They drain your energy and waste your time, so hanging with them is like shooting yourself in the foot.
4. Seek out the similarly motivated. Their positive energy will rub off on you and you can imitate their success strategies.
5. Have goals–but remain flexible. No plan should be cast in concrete, lest it become more important than achieving the goal.
6. Act with a higher purpose.  Any activity or action that doesn’t serve your higher goal is wasted effort--and should be avoided.
7. Take responsibility for your own results. If you blame (or credit) luck, fate or divine intervention, you’ll always have an excuse.
8. Stretch past your limits on a daily basis. Walking the old, familiar paths is how you grow old. Stretching makes you grow and evolve.
9. Don't wait for perfection; do it now! Perfectionists are the losers in the game of life.  Strive for excellence rather than the unachievable.
10. Celebrate your failures. Your most important lessons in life will come from what you don't achieve. Take time to understand where you fell short.
11. Don’t take success too seriously. Success can breed tomorrow's failure if you use it as an excuse to become complacent.
12. Avoid weak goals.  Goals are the soul of achievement, so never begin them with "I'll try ..."  Always start with "I will" or "I must."
13. Treat inaction as the only real failure.  If you don’t take action, you fail by default and can't even learn from the experience.
14. Think before you speak.  Keep silent rather than express something that doesn’t serve your purpose.
The above is based on a conversation with Omar Periu, one of the world’s best (and best known) motivational speakers.

Dakota Skye Scene

I want to tell you that I like you.
But I can't tell you that, can I?
I want to tell you to forget about him.
He's a great guy, the best,
and he's my brother
in everything but blood,
and you two are good together,
but I still want to tell you
to tell him to fuck off
and to be with me.
I want to tell you
that since the moment I met you
I can't even get your face
out of my brain.
But I can't tell you that,
that all I want right now
in the world
is to take you away with me.
No him, no here, no this.
Just us.
If just for a day. You know?
But I can't tell you that.
I mean, you can't make me.
I mean, what kind
of a person would I be
if I went and told you
something like that?

Lulay

4 days ago was the birthday of Lulay.

Grandmas are for stories about things of long ago.
Grandmas are for caring about all the things you know.
Grandmas are for rocking you and singing you to sleep.
Grandmas are for giving you nice memories to keep.
Grandmas are for knowing all the things you're dreaming of.
But, most of all, Grandmas are for love.

Inspiration

“There’s only one thing in life and that’s the continual renewal of inspiration.” The speaker of these words, and the subject of the new book The Eye Has To Travel, is Diana Vreeland

For all those born in the 70’s and 80’s:

We were the last generation who played in the streets, we were the first who’ve played video games, see cartoons in full color, and went to amusement centers. We were the last to record songs in the radio on cassette tapes, and we were the first to use walkmans and the chat rooms. We learned how to program the VCR before anyone else, play with Atari, Game&Watch, and Nintendo. We believed that the Internet would be a free world all on a 56kb modem. We use to travel by cars without seatbelts or air bags. We rode our bikes down the road without brakes. We lived at that time without mobile phones but still kept in touch. We do not have any Playstations, 99 channels on television, flat screens, surround sounds, mp3 players, iPods, laptops and broadband. But nevertheless, we had the best time.

Love

To receive amazing love in your life, you often need only to open yourself and your heart to receiving it…

Many times people tend to hide behind their walls in protection mode and cheat themselves from the opportunity to receiver love …

Open up your heart and receive Love now… ♥♥♥ Kenny Brixey

Love, this time.

Fall in love.

Have I really fallen in love? I don't know. It was a good feeling before but it wasn't true. I want the real thing. And I'm wanting it so badly.
Will it happen tomorrow? Will I bump into him near my office? Will I meet him when I'm doing my grocery? For sure it won't be in a bar or a club. I'm not desperate, nor am I lonely. I just feel like this is my time now. I want to know what it feels like. To be with someone who will love you deeply and unconditionally. To have my head rest with somebody's chin.

I love romantic comedies. Happy endings, cheesy lines. Dreaming is all I have ever known and now, I'm 36.

So I'm terrified that I'll be one of those girls who never falls in love because it hasn't happened yet. I don't think I'll be one of those girls who falls for anyone just to see if love could be found there.
I'm hoping.
That one day really soon somebody will love the girl who loves getting lost in a book,
chasing those fantasies that only exist in her mind?
That this year, 2012 that somebody wonderful will love the girl (who she thinks is wonderful back) gets lost is her train of thoughts and will never be able to tell you why she got lost in the first place?
Soon, really super soon somebody who will love the girl who yearns for those midnight talks about life and what it has to bring?
It will happen soon. Somebody who will love the girl will come.
I know that I'm not the only one out there who feels this way. Younger, older, wiser: there are many of us. It's a scary concept, love, but I still want to feel it.

This is the first day of your life...January 1, 2012

Believe in yourself - in the awesome person you are!
Be true to that person.
Accept that you are good enough and don't need to change to make yourself and/or others happy.
You are loved exactly the way you are.
Love yourself exactly as you are!
